🌶️ Bring the heat to Texas Through Time’s Sanctioned Tolbert Chili Cook-Off! 🌶️

Do you have an award-winning chili recipe? Or do you simply love great food and a fun day out? Join us for an exciting day of chili, competition, and family-friendly entertainment at Texas Through Time!

This officially sanctioned Tolbert Chili Cook-Off gives cooks the chance to compete for prizes and bragging rights. Best of all, the 1st Place winner automatically qualifies to compete at the Annual OTICCC Championships in Terlingua, Texas (October 2027)—the legendary home of championship chili!

👨‍🍳 Cook Registration: $25
Whether you’re a seasoned chili champion or entering your very first cook-off, everyone is welcome to compete!

Join us October 10 & 11th for our 5th Annual Hill County Fossil & Mineral Expo! Brought to you by Texas Through Time Museum.

This event is FREE and will be located at Timbers Court in downtown Hillsboro, TX during Autumnfest

Will be featuring multiple fossil & mineral vendors from the US selling jewelry, fossils, rocks, minerals, paleo merch & more!

There will be a raffle and door prizes, but you have to come to win!

Texas Through Time will have an educational booth with activities for children, and paleontological lectures, and fossil identification fair. Bring your fossil & mineral finds to have our team take a look & help identify them for you!

This will be a great time to come spend the day in Hillsboro, get a tour at the museum and shop for all of your fossil & mineral needs!

Saturday, October 10 open 9am-6pm

Night at the BooSeum is back!

For one night only, our historic school building transforms into a haunted house full of dinos, scares, and spooky fun! This will likely be our last haunted house for the next few years as we will be starting renovations on the school soon after- so come out and support your favorite local haunted house & fossil museum!
